Totcycle is our baby and toddler bank. We have everything from nappies, wipes and baby formula, to clothing and toys, to larger items such as car seats, stairgates, cots and prams. Most of our items are donated by generous members of the public. Totcycle is open to anyone who needs it, regardless of their situation, and all items are free of charge.
USE TOTCYCLE
Totcycle is available at all of our Hubs when they are open (see below). Totcycle appointments can be pre-booked by contacting the office or one of our team. Using an appointment system means that everyone visiting Totcycle is given some privacy to explain to our team what they need, and have a one-to-one chat.
We can also sometimes arrange delivery if it’s not possible to get to us, or for bulky items such as cots. We cover a wide area (Maidstone, Medway, Isle of Sheppey and Tonbridge and Malling) and so delivery is only possible if we have team available in the area at the time. We also welcome visits from support workers who may be able to pick up Totcycle items on behalf of their clients.
To make it as fair as possible, and to ensure that we can support as many families as we can, we have a few Totcycle terms and conditions, which can be viewed below as part of the Totcycle registration form.
DONATE TO TOTCYCLE
Totcycle donations can be bought to any of our Hubs when they are open. If you have large/bulky items to donate, or a large volume of donations, please do contact the team before coming down, as we very quickly run out of storage space and so can’t always take donations, no matter how lovely they are! Items that we always need are larger size disposable nappies (4 and above), baby wipes, and stairgates.
Please note that we don’t take donations of cloth nappies or electrical goods. We do take opened packets of disposable nappies. We ask that all donations are clean and in good condition/working order, and that all formula/baby food is unopened/sealed and in date.
REFER TO TOTCYCLE
Families can refer themselves to Totcycle, and can make an appointment by contacting our office by phone or email. We also welcome referrals from professional partners and/or other organisations. If you would like to refer a family to Totcycle please use the referral form below.
TOTCYCLE CHESTERFIELD
There is now a Totcycle project running at Holme Hall Edge Centre just outside Chesterfield, in partnership with Edge Ministries. For referral information contact the team by emailing totcycle@edgeministries.net.
