Hope Bringers Conference 2024

The Princess Project team are hosting a one-day social action conference in Maidstone, Kent.

This will be an event to inspire, equip and encourage Christians with a heart to be Jesus’ hands and feet in their community. We will be hearing from 3 fantastic speakers who have all started organisations seeking to bring hope to dark places, and there will be plenty of opportunity for networking, small group discussion, prayer, and worship.

A light lunch will be provided.

JOY WRIGHT

Joy Wright is the CEO of Emerge Advocacy, a charity which she founded in 2016. Emerge exists to be a #VoiceOfHope to young people in A&E because of self-harm or a suicide attempt.
Joy has been a youth worker all her working life based in churches, schools and communities, and she also did a stint in an NHS team supporting young people with psychosis. Joy has a heart to see system change come about through mobilising Christians to bring hope and freedom to young people when they most need it.
Joy is married to Dave and has three teenage children and an assortment of pets!

TRACY SICKEL

Tracy has worked as a Free Church Prison Chaplain since 2010. She founded Imago Dei in 2016 and is the CEO. She currently works in three women’s prisons in the southeast offering Bible studies, pastoral support and prayer, Sunday services and worship nights. She also delivers a range of various courses. Tracy has a passion to see women from all walks of life, learn their true identity, and live out their unique purpose. She feels most fulfilled when she sees a woman in prison experience a ‘penny-drop’ moment and when she is able to introduce people to the love of Jesus.
Tracy became a Christian at the age of 15 and attends her local Church. She is married to John and has twin daughters and five grandsons. In her spare time, she likes to travel, enjoys walking, paddle boarding, kayaking, reading, cinema and spending time with friends and family.

EMMA TANNER

Emma started the Princess Project back in 2011, after being struck by the lack of support available to disadvantaged mums in her community and prompted by God to do something about it. She is now the CEO managing a growing team of wonderful staff and volunteers working across 5 sites in Kent to deliver a holistic package of support to mums and their families. She supports churches in other parts of the UK to replicate aspects of the work of the Princess Project in their communities.
She is married to Graham and has two teenage daughters. Apart from her family, her faith and the Princess Project, her main loves in life are cooking, country music, cats and Pembrokeshire Puffins!
